Who you work with
I’m Nef (Nefer Lopez), San Diego born and raised. I’ve been in marketing since 2011. I started Radical Red Rocket in 2015 so I could help people for real when friends of friends asked.
I’ve sat in different seats: corporate agency, in-house demand generation director, paid-search software, freelance systems work (sites, APIs, AI chat, sales-flow architecture), and revenue operations on HubSpot Enterprise. On the agency side I managed real ad spend (combined books on the order of $100k/month). I know how big shops work, and why small accounts get the rookie, the runaround, and the overpromise.
How I work
The focus is results you can point to: booked jobs and collected revenue. If we partner, you pay when the work turns into collected revenue — not before.
I don’t want to sell you SEO because I happen to know SEO. I want to know what is actually stopping the business from booking more profitable work. So the work starts with two views: what I can see from the outside — your market, your visibility, your competitors, your website — and what only you can see — response, booking, sales, capacity, retention. Where the two views point is where we start.
Sometimes the biggest opportunity is marketing. Sometimes it isn’t. We don’t fix everything that’s weak — we fix the thing that’s holding the rest back, measure what changed, and find the next constraint. Diagnosis first: Your Territory Scorecard shows where your shop stands — map and score in one report, from public signals, before we talk money.
Why these trades only: trade owners work hard for their families. I’m not a generalist agency chasing every industry. HVAC and plumbing only. San Diego is home base. One plumbing partner and one HVAC partner per territory.

Adjacent track record (not an HVAC success story): as a demand gen / paid-search operator I helped a vacation-rental client hit an 18.78% lead conversion rate on Google Ads by focusing the 80/20: one high-intent keyword focus, conversion bidding, strong offer copy, and a fast mobile landing page. I also share builds on YouTube.
Off the clock: grew up in a Mexican household playing baseball in San Diego and Tijuana. Spent seven years living nomad-style out of a carry-on and a backpack. Today I’m a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Training keeps my mind and body sharp.
